Farewell to the Gear Doctor...

On January 20th, 2008, a great and good man died. Don McVittie. He was a mentor to me over the 25+ years I knew him. Don was an expert in the art of Gears. Design, troubleshooting, and all those little details that can make the difference between a gearbox just running smoothly, or being a constant headache. If you have a background in gears, you probably already know and respect Don. If you don't know much about Gears, then you may not care. But I think we all were put on this earth to find and use whatever special talents God has given us; and to hopefully make the World a little better in the process. I can truly say Don has done all that. Farewell Gear Doctor, Farewell.
